【Culture.文化】UNITY DRUM THEATER PERFORMING KETE DANCE.




Kete dance has always been a court dance for chiefs and members of the Royal Household and the favorite of the Asantehene. The dance came into prominence during the reign of Osei Tutu I (The first King of Asante Kingdom in Ghana). It is used to be the exclusive preserve of the “Asantehene (King of Asante) and it was played for him and his wives. Later, he allowed some of his paramount chiefs to have Kete ensemble in their court.

This time the Kete dance was made to welcome the president and his board of members. There are lot to get from UNITY DRUM THEATER. Don't delay much.
